First Tooth!

He has a tooth! It popped through last night! He was sleeping away and then woke up screaming at 10 p.m. I went in to check on him and immediately put my finger in his mouth. I guess I've done that so many times before that I was shocked to actually feel something! I think I'd resigned myself that he would be a "gummy" bear for a long time, since I didn't get any teeth until I was one (yes, I know. It's embarrassing.) So, of course I called Kevan in and we both made a spectacle out of his new achievement. Why do I feel so darn proud of him? It's a tooth, for pete's seek. But it's his tooth. Way to go, son.

Beach days!

I love the endless sunshine. And the sand. And sleeping in a tent. And this week I got to introduce my son to it all. We spent Monday, Tuesday, and part of Wednesday living the life of luxury (at least by my definition) camping at Doheny beach. Heidi goes every year with her family, and I tagged along a few times in high school. This year, Heidi invited me to share her site and we relived the glory days - but this time with two babies. There was a little less laying out and a little more awake time in the middle of the night, but it was still just as fun as when we were in kids. And Ezekiel had a great time, too!

Being good babies while their mommies set up camp

Victory!
Putting up a tent: No problem
Taking care of 2 little ones: No problem.
Doing both at the same time: A small miracle!

Good morning mom! I slept great - sorry I took your spot!

Hey, Kate, you look pretty cute in that outfit!

Ezekiel loved to look at the waves and get his little feet wet.

Happy Easter!

We hope you had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! I know Ezekiel is far too young to understand this holiday, but I talked to him about it anyway. I look forward to when he can really grasp the importance of what Easter really is.

We had a great time at our church service and brunch, and then with family all afternoon. Kevan and I did a little Easter egg hunt for our nieces and nephews - so cute to see them take off running when Kevan yelled "go!". Ezekiel got an Easter basket from Grandma Anna and an Easter "bucket" from me and Kevan - full of sand toys and little board shorts for our trip to the beach this week!

It doesn't get much cuter...

Ezekiel and his nearly-7-month-old photo shoot...

Aunt Rebekah's Angel

Tuesday was a wonderful day hanging out with Aunt Rebekah and grandma. Ezekiel's auntie is a HUGE Angels fan, and she picked up this little number for Ezekiel long before he was born. In honor of the season opener, Ezekiel sported his Angelware.
