A bit of business

Forgive me for getting down to business for a minute, but I could really use a referral for a good dentist. Any suggestions for a dentist who cares for children as well as adults? I've been feeling guilty about not taking Ezekiel yet and we've just switched to a new plan so I have no clue who to go to. I'd love to find someone in the Fullerton/Brea/Anaheim/Yorba Linda area.

Let me know if you have any suggestions and I'll see if my plan covers them.

As a thank you, let me offer you this adorable picture of my daughter mastering the skill of holding up her own head:

My dentist does not recommend bringing kids in until age four so you really don't need to feel guilty about Ezekiel. Maddie just had her first dentist appointment and all was well. The only time you need to bring them in earlier is if you see something you're concerned about with their teeth. Otherwise just keep brushing them twice a day and he'll be great. Our dentist is obviously too far a way but he has the patience the saint. Both Maddie and Zach were very frightened of the dentist and did not want to cooperate. He has an amazing way of very slowly coaxing them into cooperating. When mom is losing her patience and just wanting to go, "Open up already!!", he just continues to slowly work on them showing them the tools, letting them count their teeth in the little mirror, etc. A dentist that is good with children is an essential, this is how our dentist won me over.

Bethany,

Our family friend is a dentist in Fullerton, about 5 minutes from your house. His name is Gordan Haag. We love him and wish we could use him here in Vegas.

We enjoy the updates of your little ones and hope to see you soon.

Payton will be one in a week...time flies. http://lvfarrells.com

Hey Bethany, Annette is right about the age thing. Although coming from a family who has worked in the dental field for years my kids have always gone in early. Usually around Ezekiels age. It also helps that my kids go to see Auntie Sarah to have their teeth cleaned. She is in Brea if you are interested.

Sorry , no help with the dentist, but I can't get over how fair and girly little Rebekah Jane is!! She looks soooo different from Ezekiel! Can't wait to see her in 12 days!!

Our dentist is really great! She is not covered by our plan and we still go to her :) Even Matthew likes her... that says more than if the kids like her (which they do)! She is very kind and has a good staff. The office is always quiet, calm and never seem overbooked! There is a little play area for the kids. But... best of all, Aunt Alice is down the street to watch any little ones that are not being seen by the dentist :)

Hey Bethany
Our dentist, is Dr. Renkin, in Placentia, we took Ava and she was amazing with her, and my family has been going to her for years! Oh and don't feel guilty, most kids don't have their first dental visit until they are 2 1/2 - 3 years old! Hope that helps.
