At least, that's what the silly balloon said that Kevan got my parents to announce that WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!! Hooray!
I had an ultrasound last week, and everything looks perfect. My sister got to go with me, since Kevan has just started his new job and couldn't go. It was so cool to have her there! She had never seen an ultrasound before, and I act like I've never seen an ultrasound before, and we both just loved seeing that little one wave and kick her little feet at us. It was awesome. The baby is just 16 weeks in utero an already looks like a perfect little person. God's handiwork is amazing!
I have to admit, I was a little surprised over the girl news. I couldn't even tell you why, except that I guess I just pictured in my mind having 2 boys (although I didn't realize how much I had pictured that - I thought I was totally prepared for a girl!). It took a bit for the news to feel "real" and now I can't stop thinking pink!! How fun to have one of each! I can't wait for her to get here!! Although Kevan has been pretty vocal about the baby being a boy, he sure switched gears quickly! Not for one second has he shown surprise over the news of a little girl - just total excitement (and a little fear - he knows how strong that cuteness factor can be!). We went back to the restaurant where I told him I was pregnant to celebrate the news of a healthy little girl. What a great day!

Ok, kinda funny. Just realized I'm wearing the same shirt here that I wore to Ezekiel's ultrasound. You know you're having your babies close when you wear the same shirt to their ultrasounds!
